<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a multilayer coating film, which can form the coating layer showing a uniform texture excellent in metal feeling in a highlight (near a regular reflection light), and changing the texture of the whole coating film significantly by an observation angle expressing a pattern design in a shade (oblique direction). <P>SOLUTION: The method of forming a multilayer coating film comprises applying a brilliant paint composition containing a color pigment and a scale-like brilliant pigment, coating 10-50% of the coating film by the brilliant paint composition with the coating film of the color paint composition containing the color pigment, and coating such that the coating film by the color paint composition be discontinuous, and further, coating the obtained coating film with a top clear paint. In the coating film by the brilliant paint composition, an L* value in an L*a*b* color system receiving a light irradiated from an angle of 45°from an angle of 25°to the regular reflection light is within a range of 40-110, andΔL with the coating film by the color paint composition is within a range of 10-40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
