<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a reduction in recognition accuracy due to variations in illumination, face orientation, expression, etc. while suppressing an increase in processing cost. <P>SOLUTION: A pattern recognition apparatus for recognizing a data attribute of input data calculates correlation values in a feature quantity of local patterns corresponding between the input data and each of a plurality of dictionary data prepared for each data attribute to acquire a set of correlation values of each of the dictionary data, collects sets of correlation values of the dictionary data for each data attribute to acquire a set of correlation values of each data attribute, integrates a set of correlation values included in the set of correlation values of each data attribute to calculate a similarity of the input data to each data attribute, and identifies the corresponding data attribute of the input data by the calculated similarity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
