The invention substantially relates to a method for optimizing the energy consumption of a system having a plurality of electrical loads, wherein all active electrical loads belonging to the system are identified and assigned to load classes, actual average consumption values being calculated for the loads identified and compared with predefined consumption values for the respective load class from an external database, and inefficient loads to be replaced being determined or proposed thereby. By introducing a class for non-critically deactivatable loads in a particular system, power supply companies can specifically deactivate said loads and thus prevent the failure of power grids in the case of energy peaks, for example, or reduce this risk. The invention contributes to a faster distribution of energy-efficient devices and reduces the failure likelihood of energy supply networks. |
