PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor wherein it is possible to enhance output and reduce torque ripples and cogging torque, and to provide an electric power steering device and an in-wheel type motor equipped with this motor. SOLUTION: The motor includes a stator 31 obtained by toroidally winding coils 35 on an annular stator core 34. The stator core 34 is formed by alternately arranging multiple separately formed teeth 51 and multiple yokes 52 on which the coils 35 are wound. An insertion groove 55 accepting the insertion end portion 56 of each adjacent yoke 52 from both sides in the direction of the circumference of the stator 31 is formed in each tooth 51. The opposite surfaces 55b, 56b of the insertion grooves 55 and the insertion end portions 56 opposed to each other in the direction of the circumference of the stator 31 are so formed that they are in close contact with each other, that is, they are formed by press fitting a press fit piece 57 in between an insertion groove 55 and an insertion end portion 56 to press the relevant yoke 52 inward in the direction of the radius of the stator 31.
