PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a serviceability of a one-way clutch type spanner. SOLUTION: A switch means includes a vertical hole 12 bored in a handle, a switch rod 13 inserted into the vertical hole so as to slide, a pin 14 protruding from the switch rod to a retainer, a through hole which passes the pin to the retainer from the vertical hole, guide means 15a and 15b for guiding the pin in parallel with the vertical hole, a cam groove 16 formed in the retainer to which the pin is fitted and click stop mechanisms 20, 21a and 21b which lock the switch rod in a first position when a roller is biased to one part of a wedge area in accordance with an interlocking operation of the pin, the cam groove and the retainer by sliding the switch rod to one direction and lock the switch rod in a second position when the roller is biased to the other part of the wedge area in accordance with the interlocking operation of the pin, the cam groove and the retainer by sliding the switch rod to the other direction.
