PURPOSE: A system and a method for teaching a robot are provided to reduce the teaching time of a robot using a main terminal for wireless communications and an auxiliary terminal with a gyro sensor and an angular velocity sensor. CONSTITUTION: A system(100) for teaching a robot comprises an auxiliary terminal(110) and a main terminal(120). The auxiliary terminal comprises one or more of a gyro sensor, an acceleration sensor, and an angular velocity sensor. The auxiliary terminal generates position and azimuth information depending on the motion of a user. The main terminal generates a working route of a robot(220) by receiving the position and azimuth information and transmits the working route to a robot controller.
