HEAT-SENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material which has a heat-resistant protective layer excellent in heat resistance, slidability and nonadhesiveness and further in which carbon dioxide can be utilized as a raw material and which is a useful product corresponding to an environment from a viewpoint of reducing greenhouse gases.

SOLUTION: The heat-sensitive recording material has a base material sheet, a heat-sensitive recording layer provided on at least one side of the base material sheet and the heat-resistant protective layer provided on another side at a rear face contacting with a thermal head. The heat-resistant protective layer is formed of a resin composition including at least a polysiloxane-modified polyhydroxy polyurethane resin which is derived from a reaction between a five-membered cyclic carbonate compound and an amine-modified polysiloxane compound.
