An apparatus for compacting waste objects comprising a seat (10) provided with a support assembly (18, 19) for supporting the waste object (11) to be compacted; a push member (12) being moveable inside the seat for compacting in use of the apparatus the waste object against an end wall (13′16′) of the seat (10); the support assembly (18, 19) comprises two support members (18, 19) that rotate away from each other for discharging the compacted object through an aperture (P). Means (18, 19, 100, 103) being provided for impeding discharge of a compacted object of a specific type (100′) through the aperture (P) to collect the compacted object of the specific type in a dedicated container (30). Protuberances (110) can be applied to the push member (12) and an end wall (13) of the seat for producing depressions (119) in the compacted object (11′) so that the compacted object does not loose the compacted condition once pressure applied by the push member (12) is removed. |
