The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing laminated timber using pieces of rectangular lumber, to a technique involving a method for manufacturing laminated timber having a grid pattern, and to products manufactured using the method. The method for manufacturing laminated timber having a grid pattern comprises: a step of preparing a laminated board in which pieces of lumber, each comprising a surface having a first axis comprising annual rings and surfaces having second and third axes comprising wood grain, are glued together such that the surface having the second axis serves as a joining surface, in order to produce a laminated board; a first laminating step in which an even number of two or more laminated boards are laminated onto the surfaces having the third axes, such that the surfaces having the first axes and the surfaces having the second axes of each laminated board are oriented in different directions so as to enable the surfaces having the first axes and the surfaces having the second axes to intersect each other; a first cutting step performed after the first laminating step, in which the laminated boards are cut along the third axis direction (vertical direction) into the same thickness or into two or more different thicknesses; a second laminating step in which only the even-numbered or only the odd-numbered cut pieces, from among the pieces cut in the first cutting step, are turned upside down, and the cut pieces are laminated again; and a second cutting step in which the laminated pieces are cut, along the direction orthogonal to the joined surface of the pieces laminated in the second laminating step, into a predetermined thickness or into two or more different thicknesses. |
