PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are provided to improve image quality by displaying an image with uniform color on the whole screen of a liquid crystal panel. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display is composed of a timing controller and a data driver. A timing controller(212) generates initial data in response to a power voltage from a system(210). A data driver(213) generates a plurality of initial pixel voltages according to the initial data from the timing controller and supplies the initial pixel voltages to a liquid crystal panel.
