<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a highly condensed visual summary of an image region. <P>SOLUTION: (a) An essential group determination means determines, as an essential group in each of a plurality of images, a region of human face contained in the image that corresponds to an important region; (b) a definition means defines each essential group in each of the images as a germ, (c) a layout means lays out the germs on an image memory corresponding to a screen, and (d) a filling means fills a point within a space between the germs on the image memory with the pixel value of a point outside the important region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
