METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HARD COAT FILM, POLARIZING PLATE, AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a hard coat film including a hard coat layer comprising a cured product layer of a UV curable resin composition laminated on a base material film and having excellent hardness.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the hard coat film having the lower maximum illuminance in UVA of a first UV ray than the maximum luminance in UVA of a second UV ray includes a coating step for coating the base material film with the UV curable resin composition to form a coat layer, a first curing step for irradiating the base material film side with the first UV ray in the state that a casting die having a predetermined surface shape is pressed to a surface of the coat layer, and a second curing step for irradiating the coat layer side with the second UV ray after the coat layer and the casting die are separated in the order. The polarizing plate and the image display device use the hard coat film obtained by the manufacturing method.
