<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure with superior cleaning performance of NOx, and an exhaust gas cleaning apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The honeycomb structure 10 includes a honeycomb unit 11 which includes phosphate-based zeolite and an inorganic binder, and in which many through-holes 11a are separated by partitions 11b and juxtaposed in the longitudinal direction.
