PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To press-feed a liquid by a simple and compact constitution. SOLUTION: A shape memory alloy spring is attached to the diaphragm of a diaphragm pump in advance. The shape memory alloy spring tries to return to the memorized shape when the temperature becomes a specified temperature or higher. Therefore, the diaphragm is deformed by the force of the spring trying to return to the memorized shape by heating the shape memory alloy spring, and the liquid is sucked into a liquid chamber. Then, when the heating is stopped, the force of the spring trying to return to the memorized shape becomes weaker as the temperature of the spring falls. As a result, the capacity of the liquid chamber decreases by the force of the diaphragm, which has been deformed by the shape memory alloy spring and tries to return to the original shape, and the liquid in the liquid chamber is press-fed. Thus, the liquid can be press-fed by simply repeating the heating of the shape memory alloy spring and the stoppage of the heating, whereby the press-feeding of the liquid becomes possible by the simple and compact constitution.
