PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent influence of disturbance magnetic field in an accelerator pedal device provided with a magnetic sensor for detecting depressed amount of an accelerator pedal. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a pedal arm 30 having the accelerator pedal 35, main bodies 10 and 20 for oscillatably supporting the pedal arm 30, a return spring 40 for returning the pedal arm 30 to a rest position, and the non-contact magnetic sensor 60 for detecting an angle position of the pedal arm 30. The device is provided with magnetic shielding plates 81 and 82, etc. for shielding disturbance magnetic field affecting the magnetic sensor 60. As a result, the magnetic shielding plates 81 and 82 shield entering disturbance magnetic field, even if parts generating strong disturbance magnetic field are arranged or carelessly approached at the outside of the main bodies 10 and 20. As a result, the magnetic sensor 60 is capable of highly accurately detecting the angle position of the pedal arm 30 without performing an erroneous detection. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
