PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared imaging lens, along with an imaging apparatus, capable of obtaining good imaging performance even with a relatively wide angle lens, and also capable of ensuring a proper back focus. SOLUTION: The imaging lens is constituted of a first lens G1 and a second lens G2, sequentially from an object side. The first lens G1 has a positive meniscus shape directing a convex to the object side, and the second lens G2 has the positive meniscus shape directing the convex to the image side. The surface of the image side of the first lens G1 or the surface of the object side of the second lens G2 forms a diffractive optical surface.
