PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared imaging lens, along with an imaging apparatus, capable of obtaining good imaging performance even with a relatively wide angle lens, and also capable of ensuring a proper back focus. SOLUTION: The imaging lens is constituted of a first lens G1 and a second lens G2, sequentially from an object side. The first lens G1 has a positive meniscus shape directing a convex to the object side, and the second lens G2 has the positive meniscus shape directing the convex to the image side. The surface of the image side of the first lens G1 or the surface of the object side of the second lens G2 forms a diffractive optical surface. One or more surfaces other than the diffractive optical surface form aspheric surfaces. Also, the imaging lens is configured to satisfy a conditional expression 1.2<f*(n1-1)/(Fno*R1)<3.0, wherein f is a focal distance of all system, n1 is a refractive index for a design reference wavelength of the first lens G1, Fno is an F value of all system, and R1 is a curvature radius on an optical axis of the surface of the object side of the first lens G1.
