PATH-CONTINUITY CHECK METHOD, AND TRANSMISSION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the using efficiency of a relay band between node devices in a path-continuity check method.

SOLUTION: The path-continuity check method for transmitting and receiving a check frame between node devices which serve as end points of a path to check path-continuity includes: registering a piece of path information of the check frame and a transmission port in a transmission learning table by the node device on the upstream side together with a downstream learning number being a table number used when the path information is registered in a reception learning table of the node device on the downstream side; and setting a plurality of downstream learning numbers registered in the transmission learning table in one aggregation check frame as table number ON information items by the node device on the upstream side and transmitting it to the adjacent node device on the downstream side.
