PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog electronic timepiece capable of fast-forwarding a plurality of hands by easy control in a short time when fast-forwarding the plurality of hands to a predetermined position. SOLUTION: The analog electronic timepiece includes a first calculator (S2 to S7) for respectively calculating a moving direction, a driving speed, and a moving distance of each hand movable in the shortest time when individually operating each hand; a lowest speed extractor (S8 to S11) for extracting the lowest driving speed from among the driving speed of each hand calculated by the first calculator; a determiner (S15, S16) for extracting as a specific hand the hand calculated to have a positive moving direction and the moving distance greater than a rotating distance of 180°, and determining whether the lowest driving speed is equal to or lower than the highest driving speed of the specific hand in a reverse direction; and a second calculator (S17, S18) for correcting the moving direction of the specific hand to the reverse direction when determined to be lower by the determiner.
