PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gear motor for a freezer, capable of continuing operation as is within the freezer, and having high efficiency of operation, and greatly extending life duration at low cost. SOLUTION: The gear motor 10 for the freezer is a gear motor, in which a motor 12 and a reduction gear 14 are integrated together, and is operated within the freezer. The gear motor has at least two sorts of oil seals, that is, an oil seal (first oil seal) 30 for an ultra-low temperature having temperature characteristics capable of sealing an input shaft 16 of the reduction gear 14 within the freezer, and an oil seal (second oil seal) 32 for a quasi-low temperature (or normal temperature), which is incorporated inside the reduction gear of the oil seal 30 for the ultra-low temperature, and has the temperature characteristics in which a low temperature side marginal temperature is higher than that of the first oil seal.
