<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transmittance of a liquid crystal display device of an IPS (In-Plane Switching)-Pro mode. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel where a liquid crystal layer is filled between a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate includes a first insulating substrate, an alignment layer arranged between the first insulating substrate and the liquid crystal layer, and a first electrode and second electrode arranged via an insulating layer between the first insulating substrate and the alignment layer. The first electrode is located between the alignment layer and the second electrode, and its plane shape is a comb teeth shape. Each pixel establishes all of 2μm≤P≤5μm, ILET/P≤0.045, and ALT1/P≤0.015. Here, P is interval between teeth of the first electrode; ILET is thickness of the insulating layer; and ALT1 is thickness of the first alignment layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
