PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for manufacturing a filter that attains high manufacturing efficiency by simplifying manufacturing processes and can apply an adhesive easily and precisely. SOLUTION: The filter 10 is manufactured as follows. A filter medium sheet 11 is folded in the form of corrugation, and two or more pairs of convex spacers 17 are formed so as to face each other between inclined walls 16 of corrugation between an upward-projecting part 12 of corrugation and downward-projecting part 12 of corrugation. An adhesive 19 is applied to the gaps between top parts 18 of the spacers 17 located at the both ends in the direction to which projecting parts 12 of corrugation extend, and then cooled and made solid to form sealing parts 20.
