PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a conveyor belt improved in productivity by suppressing crinkles occurring in a fiber reinforced layer in a heat treatment process of the fiber reinforced layer dipped in an adhesion liquid when fiber with a small percentage of dry heat contraction and a small percentage of boiling heat contraction is used in weft of the fiber reinforced layer. SOLUTION: The fiber with a percentage of dry heat contraction of 1-5% in 150°C×30 minutes and a percentage of boiling heat contraction of 3% or less in 150°C×30 minutes is used in the weft of the fiber reinforced layer. The heat treatment process with respect to the fiber reinforced layer dipped in the adhesion liquid is composed to include sequentially continuous heat setting process 8 and normalizing process 9. Tension applied in a warp direction to the fiber reinforced layer is provided larger in the heat setting process 8 than the normalizing process 9 and its difference is set at 20-50%. A heat capacity index in the normalizing process 9 is 0.275-0.326, it is provided smaller in the heat setting process 8, and its difference is set at 0.06 or more. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
