PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a degree of freedom in handling hanging ropes, in a ceiling-embedded air conditioning device in which a suction grille can be moved up and down through the hanging ropes. SOLUTION: In this ceiling-embedded air conditioning device in which a center panel is disposed movably up and down through the hanging ropes 19A, 19B, 19C, 19D taken up and out by a lifting and lowering device 23, the lifting and lowering device 23 includes a horizontally-long outer case receiving taking-up sections of the hanging ropes 19A-19D, and the horizontally-long outer case has rollers 45 capable of guiding the hanging ropes 19A-19D in one lateral direction of the outer case, and rollers 46 capable of guiding the hanging ropes 19A-19D in the other lateral direction of the outer case.
