Provided are a reactor having excellent direct current superposition characteristics wherein the L value (inductance) is not drastically reduced in a high magnetic field, and a method for producing the reactor. In a first mixing process, a soft magnetic powder mainly composed of iron, and 0.4-1.5 wt% of an inorganic insulation powder relative to the soft magnetic powder are mixed by a mixer. The mixture obtained through the first mixing process is heat-treated under a non-oxidizing atmosphere at not less than 1,000°C and not more than a temperature at which sintering of the soft magnetic powder starts. In a granulation process, 0.1-0.5 wt% of a silane coupling agent is added to form an adhesion reinforcing layer as a first layer; 0.5-2.0 wt% of a silicon resin is added to a soft magnetic alloy powder in which an adhesion reinforcing layer is formed as a second layer by the silane coupling agent, to form a bonding layer; and, after that, a lubricant resin is mixed, and a pressure-molding operation is performed to form a compact. In an annealing process, a reactor is formed using a powder magnetic core produced by annealing the compact under the non-oxidizing atmosphere. |
