The invention relates to powder metallurgy and to the preparation of ceramic material based on boron carbide, which can be used for example as wear resistant ceramic insertion in atomizers for baking of solid fuel. A process for the preparation of composite material based on boron carbide in conditions of high pressure comprises forming of carbide mass, comprising boron carbide and aluminium, heating of the mass to temperature, sufficient for melting of aluminium and holding at this temperature, besides the preparation of composite material is carried out at pressure not less than 2.0 hPa and hBN protective medium, and the process is carried out with the use of high pressure vessel of "toroid" type. The proposed technology allows obtaining cylindrical samples of sufficient size during small time intervals, excluding the use of expensive inert gases, technologies for their treatment, and also carrying out of sintering processes for a long time. |
