PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents a recording medium from being soiled by developer (toner cloud) suspending in air. SOLUTION: A suction device 102 is disposed near a secondary transfer cleaning device 100 and below a first transfer belt 94a. The suction port 148 of the suction device 102 is disposed toward a gap G extending from below the first transfer belt 94a to the support unit 12a of a secondary transfer belt 90, so as to suck toner cloud. Accordingly, as compared with the case where the suction port 148 is not disposed near the gap G, toner cloud caused by the secondary transfer cleaning device 100 is effectively sucked by the suction device 102.
