<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion battery capable of detecting an internal short-circuits due to mixture of a metallic foreign material quickly and in a high sensitivity, and to provide a method for producing same. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium ion battery having a positive electrode 16, a negative electrode 15 and an electrolyte, is provided with an electrically insulative layer 3 with an electrically conductive layer 4 arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. A voltage is impressed between the positive electrode 16 and the electrically conductive layer 4 during charging, and a current and a potential difference between the positive electrode 16 and the electrically conductive layer 4 are measured and possibility of an internal short-circuit can be detected quickly and in a high sensitivity, since, if a metallic foreign material is mixed, a short-circuit is caused between the positive electrode and the electrically conductive layer earlier than between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
