<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light reception element suppressed in deflection of light reception sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: This semiconductor light reception element 1 is constructed as follows. A semiconductor layer 110 including a light absorption region 105 is arranged on a substrate 101; a lens 120 is arranged on a light incidence side relative to the semiconductor layer 110; the lens 120 includes a convex surface on the light incidence side; the convex surface includes a central region 121 and an outer peripheral region 122 surrounding the central region 121; the outer peripheral region 122 includes a radius of curvature required for light collection in the light absorption region 105; the central region 121 is flat; and a light entering area in the light absorption region 105 of the light having entered from the central region 121 is not larger than that of the light absorption region 105. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
