<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving device which allows a plurality of translation mechanisms that move involving heat generation to have extended service life under thermal degradation. <P>SOLUTION: When the integrated value of heat generated from one of the plurality of translation mechanisms (electric motors 31R and 31L) is smaller than that from the other translation mechanism, the operation mode of the plurality of translation mechanisms is controlled so that the amount of heat generated from the one translation mechanism is larger than that from the other translation mechanism.
