Provided is a wheelchair for rough terrain which can run on rough terrain such as a snowy road, without compromising passenger comfort while minimizing the remodeling work of a conventional wheelchair, and can support transportation of an elderly person or a person in assisted living, relief of an aged person having difficulty in walking from disaster, or the like. Specifically provided is a wheelchair comprising the chair body frame, the right and left front wheels and rear wheels of caster type fixed to the chair body frame, the bearing surface, the back, the right and left elbow rests, and the right and left kick-up steps, wherein the width of rear wheel tire is 3-8 inch, the width of front wheel tire is 2-6 inch, the diameter of front wheel tire is 6-10 inch, and the ratio of radii between the front wheel tire and the rear wheel tire is 1:1-1:4. Since the widths of the front wheel tire and rear wheel tire of the wheelchair are differentiated from the width of tire of existing wheelchairs and the tires are made thick, the wheelchair is prevented from becoming impossible to move because the tires of the front and rear wheels sink in a rough terrain such as sandy area, and can run on rough terrain. |
