PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil content recovery device capable of recovering the oil content near the surface of a groundwater even if the groundwater level fluctuates. SOLUTION: This oil content recovery device includes a pumping well 2 which is excavated in an earth G and to which a strainer 11 is provided, a strainer closing member 12 capable of closing the hole part (opening) 11a of the strainer 11, a pump 3 for pumping up the groundwater W and the oil content O flowing into the pumping well 2 through the hole part 11a, an oil-water separator 4 for separating the groundwater W and the oil content O pumped up by the pump 3, and a groundwater level observation well 5 which is installed near the pumping well 2 and observes the groundwater level in the earth G.
