<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene encoding a vegetable fucosyl transferase, and a recombinant containing the gene. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a DNA molecule comprising a specific base sequence, a sequence exhibiting at least 50% homology to the base sequence, a sequence hybridizing with the base sequence under stringent conditions, or a sequence that is degenerated to the base DNA sequence due to a genetic code, wherein the DNA molecule encodes a plant protein having fucosyl transferase activity or complementary thereto; a vector containing the gene; and a method for producing a glycoprotein free from α1,3-core-fucose by transfecting the vector to vegetables, insects and their cells. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
