<p>A method, a system and an access terminal for monitoring a control channel are disclosed. The method includes: the Access Terminal (AT) jumps initiatively to another forward carrier to monitor the control channel when finding that the forward carrier monitoring of the control channel is unsuccessful, and/or sends a message for removing the forward channel to an Access Network (AN), so as to inform the AN of the forward carrier that fails in monitoring the control channel. The method enables a connection of the AT to use multi-carriers traffic channels to develop the effect the AT should have in the Evolution Data Only (EVDO) Rev B version, thereby reduces the cutting-off rate of the whole network enormously and keeps the continuity of the voice service and the average speed of the data service, which improves user experience effectively.</p> |
