FIELD: transport, package. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gripping head designed to grip, transfer and set package units, in particular, egg troughs. Proposed device comprises gripping frame coupled with lever or beam to be driven thereby in vertical plane and/or be turned, gripping frame, two gripping plates interconnected to turn together with gripping frame and come in contact with package units on two opposite sides, and two support strips. Note here that every support strip has its top edge articulated with griping plate edge that corresponds to relevant support strip. Device comprises also actuator and control mechanism articulated with gripping frame, support strips and actuator.
