<p>Disclosed is an illuminating device wherein the manufacture cost of adjusting circuits connected to discharge tubes is reduced by reducing the number of the adjusting circuits to be smaller than the number of the discharge tubes. The illuminating device (2) is provided with: a chassis (4); three U-shaped discharge tubes, each of which has electrodes on both the ends; and two transformers (10a, 10b). In the plane view of the chassis (4), the electrodes of the three discharge tubes (20) are arranged in one direction. The center portion of the discharge tube (20) disposed inside is virtually grounded. Among the electrodes arranged in one direction, the four electrodes positioned inside are electrically connected to the transformers (10a, 10b) with relay connectors (14) therebetween, and the two electrodes positioned outside are electrically connected to the chassis (4).</p> |
