<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system having high reliability in which stable operation is possible, even under low temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system includes: a hydrogen generating device which generates hydrogen by using a hydrogen generating material to generate hydrogen by an exothermic reaction with water; a fuel cell 1 which generates electric power by using hydrogen generated by the hydrogen generating device as a fuel; and a pulse heating unit in which pulse energization against the fuel cell 1 during stop of power generation is carried out and the fuel cell 1 is heated so that the temperature of the fuel cell 1 during the stop of power generation does not becomes equal to or less than a prescribed temperature. The pulse heating unit includes: a temperature measuring unit 8 to measure a temperature T of the fuel cell 1; based the temperature T measured by the temperature measuring unit 8, a pulse heating control unit 9 to control at least one of the pulse heating duration during the pulse energization, the pulse heating-stopping time, and the pulse heating output; and a pulse heating switch 10a of which on/off is controlled by the pulse heating control unit 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
