PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can perform temperature control with a favorable fast-response and high accuracy by striking a balance between suppression of the heat capacity of a heating member and increase in the efficiency of heat transfer to a fixing belt, and which can achieve uniform fixability by suppressing the occurrence of unevenness in heating, as a belt fixing device using ceramic heaters. SOLUTION: The fixing device is configured such that the plurality of narrow ceramic heaters are arranged in the circumferential direction of the heating member of small capacity, so that the heating member where power of the circumferential downstream portion is set high, is formed.
