The humidifier has an evaporation unit (1) partially formed as an absorbent ceramic body. The absorbent ceramic body comprises an outer surface above a water reservoir, where the outer surface is completely plunged in the water reservoir. A convection outer surface (2) is arranged at the outer surface of the evaporation unit in a limited manner. The former outer surface is vertically extended to the convection outer surface. The evaporation unit comprises an inner surface within the water reservoir, and has a feed opening (11) that is formed at a region of the water reservoir.
