PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally provide compatibility between improvement of durability (increase of a load carrying capacity) and improvement of compactness in a fitting structure of a gear and a shaft member using a roller. SOLUTION: The gear device includes external gears 50, 52 including shaft insertion holes 50A, 52A formed in an axial direction, an eccentric body shaft 44 used as the shaft member fitted in the shaft insertion holes 50A, 52A, and a plurality of the rollers 46, 48 disposed in a circumferential direction along the axial direction between the external gears 50, 52 and the eccentric body shaft 44. Recessed parts 50C, 52C respectively housing the plurality of rollers 46, 48 in inner peripheral surfaces of the shaft insertion holes 50A, 52A of the external gears 50, 52 (or an outer peripheral surface of the eccentric body shaft 44) are plurally formed in the circumferential direction along the axial direction.
