PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air system blasting method without applying large tension to a wire rod. SOLUTION: This blasting method blasts the wire rod 20 by injecting a solid-gas two-phase fluid onto the surface 42 of a holding plate 41, while moving the wire rod 20 being a blasting object in the predetermined moving direction in a state of contacting with the surface 42 on the blast gun 30 side of the holding plate 41, by arranging the holding plate 41 forming an opening hole 43 for allowing the passing of compressed gas penetrating through a thickness, in a predetermined position in front of a blast gun 30 for injecting a polishing material as the solid-gas two-phase fluid together with the compressed gas, so as to cross at a predetermined angle with the axial direction of the blast gun 30.
