PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calibrating a camera with high accuracy, capable of performing camera calibration in a short time by considering even a non-pinhole property. SOLUTION: While keeping a condition where the distance between a reference plane and a line light source 13 is set at a first distance, the line light source 13 is relatively moved with respect to and in parallel with the reference plane in two different directions, and positions of the line light source 13 when pixels image incident light rays from the line light source 13 are stored on a pixel basis in STEPS 3, 4. While keeping a condition where the distance between the reference plane and the line light source 13 is set at a second distance different from the first distance, the line light source 13 is relatively moved with respect to and in parallel with the reference plane in two different directions, and positions of line light sources 7 when pixels image incident light rays from the line light sources 7 are stored on a pixel basis in STEPS 6, 7. For each pixel, lines of which the distances from the stored positions of the four line light sources 7 are minimized are estimated as a track S of the incident light rays with respect to the pixel in STEPS 8, 9.
