PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the imaging position of a main imaging mode obtaining a favorable diagnostic image data based on positioning image data of a pilot imaging mode. SOLUTION: A display part 8 displays a plurality of regions of interest showing an imaging area including a plurality of imaging positions preset in the body axial direction of positioning image data and magnetic field error distribution data in the imaging positions to be superposed on the positioning image data. When an image distortion area having a large magnetic field error exists in the region of interest, an input part 9 moves the imaging position in the body axial direction to eliminate the image distortion area from the region of interest. Then, an image data generating part 6 generates a plurality of image data in the imaging area based on an MR data obtained by MRI imaging in the main imaging mode to the imaging area of the updated imaging position, and further generates diagnostic image data in a wide range in the body axial direction by composing these image data.
