PURPOSE: A display apparatus and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce the size of a capacitor using a silicon nitride film with a superior dielectric constant as a dielectric. CONSTITUTION: A first insulating layer(116) is located on a first substrate(110). A lower electrode(118b) is located on the first insulating layer. A dielectric layer(120a) surrounds the upper side and the lateral side of the lower electrode. An upper electrode(122a) is located on the dielectric layer. A third insulating layer includes a source and drain electrode(126a). A fourth insulating layer(128) is formed on the third insulating layer(124).
