PURPOSE: Steering device and method for front and rear wheels for a vehicle are provided to enable the vehicle to easily rotate and make a U-turn by simultaneously rotating front and rear wheels of the vehicle when the vehicle rotates widthwise. CONSTITUTION: A steering device for front and rear wheels for a vehicle comprises a front-wheel steering unit(110), a front-wheel steering motor(120), a rear-wheel steering motor(130), a control unit(140) and a rear-wheel steering input(150). The front-wheel steering unit steers the front wheel of the vehicle. The front-wheel steering motor adjusts the front-wheel steering angle of the vehicle. The rear-wheel steering motor adjusts the rear-wheel steering angle of the vehicle. The control unit receives steering signals on the front wheel of the vehicle from the front-wheel steering unit. The control unit operates the front-wheel and rear-wheel steering motors. The rear-wheel steering input obtains steering signals about the rear wheel of the vehicle.
