METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CONTINUOUS CASTING MOLD

A method for manufacturing a continuous casting mold includes making of water-cooling channels on surfaces of a copper working wall and an intermediate plate with subsequent connection of the copper wall and intermediate plate and attachment of the latter to the mold body. The superimposed copper working wall and intermediate plate are joined along the perimeter by method of friction welding with mixing using a rotating electrode, and then welding is carried out by the method at least in a single pass of the electrode on the outer surface of upper part.
