The device has a pressing device (13) constituted of two self-adjustable and self-locking, notched or smooth, motorized upper and lower compression rollers (2, 2') and arranged at an outlet of an opened or perforated, motorized collector conveyor belt (1) that is provided with metal or PVC meshes, brushes (6), fillets or laths. The pressing device permits extraction of large quantity of water and sand contained in a floating material i.e. green alga. The collector conveyor belt is provided with arms that are arranged in V-shape and are associated with the pressing device.
