<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair for allowing a user to perform operation by him/herself, select a position to get out of the wheelchair, and come abreast of a bed so as to transfer from a side part to the bed. <P>SOLUTION: The wheelchair has a configuration to move a wheel bearing (a) by providing a rail (b) and a stopper (c) in the wheel bearing (a) in addition to the basic configuration. An operator releases the stopper (c) and moves the wheel bearing (a) while rotating the wheels, so as to transfer to the bed by him/herself from the side part of the wheelchair. When both wheels are slid backward in travelling over a step backward by the wheelchair, a wheelbase is increased so as to obtain stability. Besides, the wheels are moved to the rear part of the centroid with auxiliary front wheels as fulcrums, so that the wheels are easily operated by the principle of leverage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
