PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique to understand the risk of future cardiovascular disease (CVD), such as apoplexy, cerebral infarction and cardiac infarction. SOLUTION: An evaluation method of the risk of cardiovascular disease for evaluating the risk of future cardiovascular disease of a test subject, by using an LAB (LOX-1 ligand containing ApoB) concentration in sample body fluid taken from the test subject as an indicator is provided. An evaluation method of the risk of cardiovascular disease that uses LOX index represented by a product of the LAB concentration and a soluble LOX-1 concentration as an indicator is provided.
