PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive rolling bearing which is easily assembled, and of which the retainer is surely brought into a split state independent of an operational status or the like to prevent fretting. SOLUTION: The rolling bearing 1 utilizes the retainer 3 constituted by connecting a plurality of circular-arc members 5 having a plurality of pockets 4 each housing the rolling element 2 in a ring-like shape. The retainer 3 connects a pair of neighboring circular-arc members 5 not to be separated but to be relatively displaced in a circumferential direction by interposing the rolling element 2 therebetween. For example, an outer diameter side overlapped part 6 and an inner diameter side overlapped part 7 which are slidably and radially overlapped with each other are separately disposed at circumferential ends opposed to each other of the pair of neighboring circular-arc members 5. Openings for a pocket becoming the pocket 4 by radially overlapping the outer diameter side overlapped part with the inner diameter side overlapped part 7 are formed at the outer diameter side overlapped part 6 and the inner diameter side overlapped part, respectively.
