摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology by which the erroneous determination of a short circuit can be prevented at a normal time when motor wiring is not short-circuited in a motor control device utilized for a seat belt retraction device. <P>SOLUTION: In a seat belt control device, a duty ratio and a controlled value are monitored when a motor is operated to determine whether the controlled value exceeds a short-circuit reference value set to a value larger than a target value when the duty ratio is smaller than a predetermined first reference duty ratio (S360, S370). When the controlled value exceeds the short-circuit reference value, the motor wiring is determined to be short-circuited. That is, a short circuit of the motor wiring is determined by utilizing a property that a comparatively small duty ratio does not make a controlled value become extremely large when the motor wiring is not short-circuited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
